I like running. I've been active most of my life, having grown up around gyms and personal trainers, and took to running 'properly' in 2007 or so when my then girlfriends brother decided he was going to run a marathon. I ended up taking part in London Marathon 2009 and finished in 3 hours 30 minutes. I did some more running for a while afterwards, but more around cross country or shorter distances.
Then I got bored and spent much of the next 10 years doing very little running apart from a couple of bouts of "I should really run more". 2019 I finally made the conscious decision to dive back in, and I'm working hard on making running a big part of my life again.
My goals right now are to be able to run 50-60km a week regularly, and then step into ultramarathons once I have a good base of fitness.
